As a candidate, Perriello broke the mold in ways, by taking Democratic stands in a decidedly Republican district. He seems to have retained that confidence coming out of the election and wants to help Obama be bold — even in south central Virginia. … So if he’s willing to lose his seat, why not lose his seat for a bill that does something more than give money to big corporations? This bill with all its offsets and allowances doesn’t reduce emissions. …
